Third-Hand Smoke?

Everyone has heard of the obvious first hand smoke, and then theres the commonly heard secondhand smoke. But have you ever heard of third hand smoke?

Doctors from Mass General Hospital for Children in Boston have been looking into this idea and  have come to the conclusion that there are invisible toxins that are left lingering after the cigarette is done being smoked, these toxins can be harmful days after the ciggarette has been smoked.

Researchers said, “breathing air in a room today where people smoked yesterday can harm the health of infants and children.”

The gist of this idea is that no matter what your doing, your not only harming yourself when you smoke a cigarette. Children are being strongly affected by this, there are carcinogens in third-hand smoking and with these carcinogens comes cancer risks for anyone who comes in contact with them.

If that doesn't make you want to stop smoking then maybe seeing exactly what your putting into other peoples bodies by smoking will help:

The substances in third-hand smoke are hydrogen cyanide, used in chemical weapons; butane, which is used in lighter fluid; toluene, found in paint thinners; arsenic; lead; carbon monoxide; and even polonium-210, the highly radioactive carcinogen that was used to murder former Russian spy Alexander V. Litvinenk on 2006. Eleven of the compounds are highly carcinogenic.

How would you like to be the one to blame for a child's terminal cancer? Think about it.

Honey Helps Too..

Did you know that honey helps the body in numerous different ways?

Honey can help heal minor injuries:

Honey has antibacterial properties and is proved to speed up healing. To help treat monor scrapes, cuts, or burns, according to Joseph Kellerstein (a doctor of naturopathic medicine in Toronto). Its antiseptic properties inhibits the growth of certain bacteria and helps keep external wounds clean and free from infection.

Honey Soothes The Throat:

Did you know fruits and vegetables...

Did you know that eating fruits and vegetables helps generate its own aspirin inside your body?

It's said that salicylic acid, which is the key component in the anti-inflammatory found in aspirin, has been found in the body through only fruits and vegetables, and has been acting as its own anti-inflammatory in the body.

Salicylic acid has been found in the blood of people who haven't been taking aspirin, and especially vegetarians, according to a recent study. This has not been completely proven, but when the scientists decided to inject benzoic acid which is also a natural acid in fruits into the subjects to see if it also helped produce the salicylic acid, their results reiterated what the y originally believed. So they concluded that, yes fruits and vegetables could indeed be considered a body bioregulator, and get the body back to it's norm (help it ease the pain like aspirin does).

believe it or not?
